The first four works below are a part of a commissioned series by La Bottega del Tintoretto print studio in Venice, Italy. It was part of a collaboration with a museum, creating a second edition of a medieval text using the same printing methods used when the first edition was printed in the 15th century. I was a part of a group of artists asked to exactly replicate and recreate the matrices for the images in the text. The four works below are the prints I recreated for the project. They are linoleum matrices carved with an X-acto blade.
